June 29, 2010 was already an important date on our calendar – we'd been aiming our Official Amazon Book Opening at that date for a month or more.

And then just before 4 PM EDT, Amazon started to crash, told people they had no more copies of our books (and no more copies of LOTS of people's books!), and it looked like our dream, our intention, our hard work would fly away in a cyberspace crash.

Blog posts and Tweets by others told the tale and confirmed our suspicion: Amazon was suffering one of its infamous meltdowns.

Was it, as some people said, our book that took Amazon down? Was it all the activity we sent their way? Was it because YOU jumped in to get our book just as everyone else did?

That's for others to sleuth out. We just knew that we were at No 2 as Amazon crashed and burned and wondered if we could recover the activity and sales.

Many people emailed us directly: "Amazon won't let me buy your book!" "Amazon says your books are all gone!" And worse yet: "Amazon says you don't exist, and though I can find your personal profiles, there is NO book page for you! What is going on?"

But you persevered. You kept knocking at Amazon's shopping-cart door. You wouldn't give up on The Book and you DIDN'T give up on US… for which we are very, very grateful.

So we're pleased (and humbled) to announce that not only did we make the Best-Sellers list, we became the #1 Best-Selling-Entrepreneur Book on Amazon. You can see attached to this note some of the screen captures we made as this happened. And on ONE of them, you'll see the date and not just the time (Oh, the clever Dr. Marc – he shows the time AND date on HIS computer… I was only showing the TIME!). June 29, 2010 just after 5 PM.

So we celebrate YOU! We celebrate all those who helped us! We're thrilled with what people are telling us about the extra bonuses by Marshall Wayne, Mike D, Victoria Ipri, Justin Stranere and Josh Cassel, and JoAnna Brandi. We're grateful for all the extremely supportive reviews we've received on Amazon.

We're thrilled that all of this worked so well (even while Amazon did not). We're thrilled that we were listed above Dan Kennedy's latest book NoBS Wealth Attraction In The New Economy, Gary V's Crush It!, and Michael E. Gerber's E-Myth Revisited… for a little while, anyway (believe me – those books have real "staying power" that, for now, we can only envy). So for a day or so, we'll celebrate – celebrate that good planning, strong marketing plans, and the help of lots of people paid off. Celebrate that we've created a "map" for you to do it too – write a book in under 91 days and then get it to Number 1 on Amazon (more on that another time). And celebrate that the goals we set when we started our business partnership in January, 2010 are on target.
