WalkAbout Marketing – some explanation is due.

I've not been good at keeping to an exercise regimen but I'm terrific at working and working really hard and long. So, one day after some chest tightening, I decided I really needed to get back walking. Not to the gym, but through my neighborhood (or local mall), which has enough hills it reminds me of Lombard Street in San Francisco (The Crookedest Street In The World).

OK… we're not THAT curvy around here, but the hills do make me huff and puff.

So… strap on the digital recorder (I use an iPod with Belkin plugin recorder plus a small lav microphone), Walk About the neighborhood with my clipboard loaded with marketing stories, and then think and talk.

That's it. That's how this was born.

You'll hear birds, cars, airplanes (or mall noises if I'm there). You'll hear me stop to chat with neighbors or wave a greeting as they pass by. You'll hear me coughing and getting out of breath (depending no which hill I'm on – listening back to some of it I see how dreadfully out of shape I was when this started! Pretty funny sometimes how it sounds).

But most of all I hope you hear some simple stories and lessons that will help you be more productive with your marketing and make more money.

Good lessons. Sometimes deceptively simple lessons. But still lessons from which we can all learn and earn.
